For years, the pair farmed their land and sold the grapes to notable Maremma wineries like Sassicaia; but beginning in 1992 they decided to make their dream a reality and began bottling their own wine.
On the heels of very high scores from notable critics, the winery emerged as a major player in the region seemingly overnight.
